Hey, ever thought how your name will sound like if in chinese? (Those who had christian names) Yesterday crystal was talking about her baptism name, Gabrielle. Her mom said it sounds like gae bu liao meaning cannot give in chinese. haha. come to think about it, mine sounds like da niao (big bird). Ha!
I remembered in year 1, my classmates did a research on christian names translated to chinese. I notice something. when the names go with the surname 'Tan', the chinese translation is funny~
Ben Tan=ben dan which means stupid
nelson tan=niao shen dan which means bird laying egg
Jason tan= je shen dan which means thief laying egg
Jeremiah=je lai le mei you which means thief come already?
sarah=sha la which means salad.
These are some that i've heard of. Funny huh? sorry if you're surname is Tan. haha. Tan in chinese is chen and my surname is chinese is also chen. I'm poking fun of my own surname too.
